MINUTES OF THE JUNE12th MEETING OF THE PORT KIWANIS
June 12 , 2007 No. 37 , 2006-2007
NEXT MEETING: SIEBKEN'S BREAKFAST at Elkart Lake at 7:30 A.M.
Club meeting is Tuesday June, 19th at Nisleit's. The speaker will be from The Pirates.
MEETING: The meeting was called to order by Pres. John Sigwart at 7: 18.P.M.
Attendance------14 Members and 2 guests. Gary Boehle brought his wife Carol and
Elmer visited with us again.

Song---------The Star Spangled Banner.
Drawing-----Won by Lee. $8 to the club.
GOOD NEWS:
Lot's of good news but the best was the story told by Gary and Carol Boehle who on
Sunday took a bicycle ride to the south and stopped about 20 miles from here to eat
a lunch in a park. After going on for a while Carol realized that she had left her
diamond rings on the park table. They were nowhere to be found.
They offered a $500 reward. The Angels were watching over them. Some Lady found them
and turned them in to the Mequon P.D. They were returned to Carol and the lady
wouldn't even give her name or address so they could give her a reward. Carol and
Gary have had their Faith in Humamity restored. That was wort $10 to the fund.
AGENDA:
The speaker for this evening from the Pirates was unable to attend. There will be a
speaker from the Pirates next week. We had club business instead.
Club Business1. Club Bylaws have been prepared and signed by the President and
Secretary. They are being forwarded to International for approval.
2.District Trustee election--Tuesday June 19th in Waukesha. Sally and Paul will attend.
3.OPEN HOUSE at the new Municipal Garage Service Center at 333 N. Moore Rd.
Saturday , June, 16th 10A.M ----2 P.M. The Playground will have a refreshment fund
raiser there. Help needed.
4. Peanut day--- Karen Oleski has been appointed Chairperson.
5.Some Foundation business-- $600 to Eagle Scout canidate Eric Gardner. Also $600
to Alex Metoxen whose Eagle project is painting a Map of the world on the Black Top
at Lincoln elementary.
6.Speaker schedule----Pres. John is preparing one to be printed in the bulletin next
week.
7.Church Bulletins--- are being distributed this week.
8.No meeting July 3rd--- A letter was sent to Nisleit's notifying them that we will
not have a meeting on July 3rd. They have acknowledged it.
9. June 21st "Saftey Town" at Dunwidde school to interview students. Volunteers needed.
10. PLAYGROUND FUND RAISER. Carnival on the bluff from 4:30 P.M. til 8:30 P.M.
11. FISH DAY---- Sat. July 21st. Pres. John will handle the personnel. Gene Giltner
will handle the Physical plant operation.
CALENDAR OF EVENTS:
1. Thursday June 14th 7:30--9:00 A.M. Siebkens Breakfast. $15 at the door.
2. Tuesday June 19th ,someone from the Pirates Program to explain how it works and
to find out if we can participate with a fund raiser food stand.
