MINUTES OF THE AUGUST 1st MEETING OF THE PORT KIWANIS

  NEXT MEETING : The next meeting will be at Nisleit's at 6:30 P.M. on August 8th.
Jim Olson will have the Port Tourism Director as the speaker. FOUNDATION at 5:45
P.M.
   
  MEETING: The meeting was called to order at 7:15 P.M. by Pres. Dan Hargarten.
  Attendance-----20 members , 10 guests  as follows---Gene Giltners son Geoff , 4
Interclubbers from Greator Sheboygan, Richard Lubinski, Larry Samet , Don Mattox ,
Larry MacDonald.. AlsoHelen Williamson's grand children  and Kenny and Jenny Mitchell's son Max and The Speaker of the evening , Past WI/Um Gov. Barry Hersh and his Wife Linda.
  Prayer : By Pres. Dan Hargarten.
  Pledge:  Led by Pres. Dan.
  Song: Led by Pres. Dan--In The Evening By The Moon Light.
  Thought : by SALLY , if it stays this hot in Port I may move back to Iron
Mountain!!!!
  Drawing : Won by Karen. $11 to the club.
   
  ANNOUNCEMENTS :  Board Meeting , Saturday August 12th at  8 A.M. at the Rusty Anchor.
  2. New Holstein SPANFERKEL Monday August 28th. $12 per person. Over $1200 in door
prizes.
  3.District Convention at Eau Clair August 18,19 20th. Sally and Paul Ehrlich and Weldon and Louise have registered.
  Paul is Pres. of the Past Lt. Gov.'s . Their project is to collect non - perishable item for donation to the Eau Clair Food Pantry.
  You may bring them to our next two meetings or deliver them to his home at 511 North Wisconsin.
   
  GOOD NEWS: It seems as though nearly everyone had Good News last week. 12 members
contributed $15 for the good things that happened to them.
   
  PROGRAM: Sally introduced Past WI / UM District Govrrnor, Barry Hersh. Barry gave
a video and verbal presentation of the International and District Advertising
Program that is underway to build Kiwanis Membership to 1,000,000 by the year
2015, our 100th Anniversity. It is a very energitic program designed to get the
current membership enthused as well as the general public with regards to
KIWANISM!!!.
   
  CALENDAR OF EVENTS: 
  Tues. Aug . 8th ,meeting at Nisleits, Jim Olson will have the speaker. Foundation
at 5:45 P.M.  Sat. Aug. 12th at 8 A.M Board at Rusty Anchor. Tues. Aug. 15 Weldon
scheduled for speaker.
