ROUND ROBIN DINNER ENJOYED BY ALL
The Greater Port Kiwanis Club
celibrated the holidays with a round robin dinner on December 20th.
Twenty five members and guests enjoyed the fellowship of the season.
Everyone met at Barb and Jim’s
1st GMAC office to start the evening with cocktails and hors
d’oeuvers. An auction was held for White Elephant items donated by members.
Kathy Wiskow who has a collection of snowman decorations was pleasantly
surprised with the snowman themed auction item. The members will be looking
forward to hearing from Paul & Sally as to how well they enjoyed the wine
they bought. Dave Bernander would not show the sweater he bought, which was
billed as the winner of an ugly sweater contest!
Ever one then walked or drove
to Karen’s condo for soup and salad. The view from the 8th floor of
the waves crashing in off
A bus then transported the
party goers to the Wiskow’s house just outside of Port for the main course. New
member Linda Wells help host the party with contributions by the Strohms. Ham,
cheese potatoes and a broccoli cauliflower vegetable dish were enjoyed by all.

With the snow really coming
down the crowd again boarded the bus for the trip to Liz Erlwig’s home for
desert. Liz’s Christmas lights through the heavy falling snow set a great mood
for the final stop. Jerry and John settled in for the duration. While others
managed to get in a few games of pool.
Comments over heard were
‘let’s do it again and not wait for next Christmas’.
RINGERS GET RELIEF
For the past
several years Kiwanis has rang the bells for the Salvation Army outside at
Walmart. This year they rang at Sentry Foods inside their entrance. All ringers
were very thank-full to be in doors with the low temperatures and the wind.

Ringers Jerry, Mike and Liz
