IT”S NOT A MYSTERY
KIWANIS
IS FUN
It’s
especially not a mystery that we have good programs.
Witness,
our most recent guest speaker, Chief Inspector Jack Pachuta.
Jack
is a murder mystery writer for parties. This is were the guests at your party
take on rolls in the mystery.
The
inspector shared with us how he crafts a mystery to make sure everyone get
hooked into the activities. Motive is the key, so he makes sure all characters
have a motive. For a cast of 6 all 6 would have a motive.
The
means to do it is next so Jack would set up 4 characters to have the means.
Third is the opportunity to do it so 2 may be given the opportunity in the
story.
The
action is scripted and at the start no one has been given a clue as to who done
it. About ¾ of the way through the chief
gives a clue that contains the answer.
Jack
provides all the necessary information to conduct a murder mystery party
through his web site www.mysteries-on-the-net.com. His web site contains a bio where you will
learn he has been doing this for 25 years. He has always been a gaming person
and after seeing Murder on the Orient
Express he was inspired to write Murder on the Cedarburg Express.
Cedarburg
is where Chief Inspector Pachuta’s investigative office is located. He also
does kids mysteries and write it your self mysteries. It’s elementary.
THE KIWANIS FUN PART

It’s
our Halloween party with a theme of movie or TV characters.
BUILDERS CLUB AT THE FOOD
PANTRY
Several club members were there along with advisor
Deb putting the items delivered by the Boy Scouts.

The
Scouts drop the food bags under the tent. The bags are slid down a ramp to
where every item is logged in by what it is and its weight. Then the builders
sort and put it away. Every type has its assigned location. Carrots, for
example, all go on an assigned shelf.
Everyone learns quickly where things go.
