        EASTER BUNNY HELPERS

At our March 4th meeting Head Easter Bunny Helper Donna observed her assistant “EBH” (Easter Bunny Helper) try to stuff that big book mark worm in the little plastic egg.

Ralph the “Red Nosed” I mean “Red Shirted” “EBH”, wasn’t letting that stubborn plastic worm get him down.

After that week of relaxing on the beach in Hawaii he knew the job of assistant “EBH” was going to be tough. But nothing was going to wipe that smile off his face.

Head “EBH” Donna knew it wasn’t going to be easy. So she called in the cavalry. She enlisted the aide of the Kiwanis club members, Key Club members and her family to stuff 2 to 3 trinkets or candy in 2000 plastic eggs.

Key Club members Amy Gonzo, Kate Ruth and Joe Ruth stuff eggs while Joe wonders if assistant “EBH “Ralph the Red … “ isn’t having a little too much fun sitting at that table by himself.

It looks like Barb is imagining how much fun it would be to gather these eggs and find the neat little prizes.

Maybe the thrill of being an “EBH” put that smile on her face.

Now Weldon, Lowell and Elmer seem to be taking the responsibility of being an “EBH” very seriously. Guys, can’t you at least pretend to be having fun. The head “EBH” said it would be fun so let it show.

It’s a good thing the rest of the “EBHs” didn’t have too much fun. Someone had to do the work.

The Port Washington Business Improvement District organizes the event with the help of the Port Kiwanis club. In addition to the egg hunt there will be an Easter Bonnet contest. The event will be held upstairs in the closed Lueptow’s Furniture store starting at 10am. With Easter being so early this year it will be to cold and messy to have the hunt in the park.

KEY CLUB NEWS

Starting this week Key Club is having their annual fundraiser for Operation Uplink, a VFW foundation that raises money to purchase calling cards for troops overseas.  It will be a competition between 5th hour classes to see which class can raise the most money per person. The winning class will get a pizza party.  The club will be holding a meeting on Thursday to discuss the success of this fundraiser and discuss some other volunteer opportunities.

BUILDERS CLUB NEWS  (From the TJ news Letter)

A SPRING SHOWER Sponsored by Builders Club: Beginning MARCH 12th thru Wednesday, March 19th we want to see a downpour of kindness showered on our school.  We are looking for Random Acts of Kindness, if you receive or give a random act of kindness to someone we want you to fill out a form and drop it off in the office.  Your teachers will have more information in the coming days, and you will also be able to see some examples of what others are doing on the display board in the hall as we collect the raindrops.  There will be prizes sprinkled upon random act participants who have earned a raindrop (the form), on Wednesday, March 19th.   This is a great opportunity to recognize people who are kind to you everyday.  So - get in the Random Acts of Kindness Spirit!  Do something nice for somebody. Help Builders Club turn our Spring Shower into an absolute DOWNPOUR of Kindness during the next week.
