Hi Everyone,

The following is our the minutes from our meeting on September 2nd at Nisleits. This is what you missed:

  1. Dinner was Swiss Steak, mashed potatoes, and seasonal veggies with a fruit salad; and ice cream for dessert.
  2. We had 13 Kiwanians present. No Guests.
  3. Grace won $9.50 in the 50/50 drawing.
  4. Karen won the auction for the wine provided by Marc Ernisse. $11.00 for the club.
  5. Thought for Day:  “The best preparation for good work tomorrow, is to do good work today” Elbert Hubbard
  6. Board Meeting on September 13th at 8 am at Rusty Anchor—the incoming Board of Directors is invited!
  7. We talked about the Clearing House Collections Drive 10-1 to 10-20-08 for Personal Care Items which will distributed by the Ozaukee Volunteer Center on “Make a Difference Day, October 25, 2008”. Last year they collected 9,336 items valued at $37,338.  We will do this in October! More info later.
  8. John Sigwart provided  the PROGRAM and he brought us up to date on the build information for the Possibility Playground Sept. 16-21st. If you haven’t been contact to volunteer, please call  Stacy Peters 262-268-1906. Also, John needs your help:  Saw Horse and table saw builders for pre-build contact John at 920-946-0215.  We need to build 25 PAIRS of sawhorses and several table saw tables. Your help is needed!
  10. Next weeks meeting is at Nisleits and the speaker is Barbara Fischer from Ozaukee County Advocates.
  11. Upcoming Events:September 16th   at Newport Shores-Louise Reed has program: trip to Africa by Jeff Suddendorf;  September 23rd Helen Williamson will have Wisconsin Blood Center by Laura Schultzler and on September 30th we will need all the Board Members and newly elected officers of the club present for the Induction Ceremony at Nisleits.
